At 6734 yards from the back tees, Cross Timbers is a shotmakers course. Its variety of doglegs, undulating fairways and wooded areas will require you to use every club in your bag. You may even have to invent a shot or two!
The front nine begins with a beautiful view of Eagle Mountain Lake and downtown Fort Worth in the distance right from #1 tee box! The first few holes give you a chance to warm up before you reach the monsterish #5, a 468-yard par-4 from the tips. This brute will require two of your best shots to reach the green in regulation.
The front nine concludes with our signature hole, #9. A 165-yard par 3, it requires a precise tee shot over a ravine to a green protruding on a cliff, surrounded by a natural rock wall. It offers a great test of your nerves and touch in a beautiful setting.
Once you turn to #10, you are immediately confronted with a short but tricky par 4. The semi-blind tee shot to a narrow, sloping fairway requires your best effort. Your approach to the two-tiered green will be a test, as will your putts!
After winding your way through the hills and trees, your round concludes on #18, a reachable par-5 with water along the left side. This risk-reward hole gives you a chance to cap your round with a birdie or even an eagle! As you drive past the rock waterfall on your way back to the clubhouse, one thing is sure; a round at Cross Timbers is a memorable one!
